A dark drama set in the early 1980's about a suburban housewife with environmental allergies, leads her to reside in a safe haven.

"I was hired by film director Todd Haynes as the Production Designer for "Safe", and worked closely with him and the cinematographer establishing the concepts and moods for the film's visual backgrounds. The creation of dark, sterile, minimal environments set within a cold suburban context manifested the emotional state of the main character played by Julianne Moore. The sets were implemented up into the first two weeks of filming where I designed, supervised and managed a dedicated Art Department crew."
